Es bleibt zunächst Hauptstadt, doch 1718 wird die Residenz nach Heidelberg verlegt. Seit 1945 ist Düsseldorf Hauptstadt des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen. In the year 1386 Düsseldorf became the capital of the Duchy of Berg. In the year 1614 the duchy falls to the Duchy of Palatinate-Neuburg and in 1685 to Kurpfalz. Düsseldorf remains as capital until 1718 when Heidelberg becomes residence of the Dukes. Now it is the capital of North Rhine-Westphalia. |
