Regensburg hat eine der geschlossene Altstadt mit Bauten aus 3
Jahrtausenden,
wovon nahezu 1.300 unter Denkmalschutz stehen sollen.
Neben dem gotischen Dom
hat die Stadt zahlreiche Kirchen, Adelspaläste,
Bürgerhäuser, das Rathaus sowie
das
Alte Rathaus, in dem der Reichstag des
Heiligen Römischen Reichs
Deutscher Nation tagte. Den schönsten
Blick auf die Stadt hat man von der
Steinernen Brücke, die vor mehr als 800 Jahren gebaut
wurde. Natürlich ist
Regensburg einer der Höhepunkte bei einer
Radtour entlang der Donau.

millenia, of which about 1300 are listed buildings. The city has a
Gothic cathedral
and the Old Town Hall which used to house
the Reichstag (diet) of the
Holy Roman
Empire of the German Nation. From the
Steinerne Brücke (stone bridge) one
has the most beautiful view
of the city. The bridge was built more than 800 years ago.
Of course
Regensburg is one of the highlights on a
bicycle tour
along the Danube.
