Bad Wimpfen
Sehenswürdigkeiten in Deutschland
Bad Wimpfen
war einst eine
Stauferpfalz am Neckar, die überwiegend im
12. Jahrhundert
erbaut wurde. Vom Palas ist die Nord- und die Ostwand (Foto)
erhalten.
Außer dem
Palas sind die
Pfalzkapelle, ein
romanisches Haus, das
Steinhaus
sowie der
Rote und der
Blaue Turm erhalten. Darüber hinaus sind in
Wimpfen die
Stadtkirche und die
Stiftskirche St.Peter sowie die zahlreichen
Fachwerkhäuser
der Altstadt sehenswert.

Bad Wimpfen
on the Neckar used to be a
Kaiserpfalz
during the
Hohenstaufen era. It was built in the 12th century. The Nothern
and
Eastern wall survived of the
palas
(photo). Other remarkable buildings are the
Pfalzkapelle, a
Romaneque
house, the Red and the Blue Tower, the CIty Church
and numerous timber
frame houses in the old town.
