Das
Kloster Maulbronn wurde 1147 gegründet und 1556 in eine
evangelische
Klosterschule umgewandelt. In diese Schule gingen u. a. Kepler,
Hölderlin und
Hermann Hesse. Heute befindet sich hier ein staatliches
Gymnasium mit Internat.
Die Bauten des Klosters sind noch
weitestgehend erhalten. Die in ihren
Ursprüngen romanische Kirche ist
sehr lang, da sie Mönchskirche und
Laienkirche hintereinander vereint.
Sights in Germany -
Maulbronn Abbey was
founded 1147 and securalised in
1534. In 1556 it was converted into a
Protestant seminary. Pupils of this school
were
Kepler,
Hölderlin and
Hermann Hesse. Today
there is a public high
school and boarding school. Most of the original
abbey buildings still exist.
The Romanesque church is very long as it
combines the monks church and the
part for parish people one after
