Sehenswürdigkeiten in Deutschland
UNESCO-Weltkulturerbe
Weimar ist bekannt
durch die beiden bekanntesten deutschen Dichter:
Goethe
und
Schiller,
die in Weimar bzw. in Jena lebten. Neben dem berühmten
Denkmal, gibt es viele Stätten,
die an die Dichter erinnern, wie
Goethes Wohnhaus und das
Gartenhaus. Weimar hat
darüber hinaus Kirchen, Schlösser und
eine berühmte Bibliothek (Herzogin
Anna Amalie
Bibliothek). Weiterhin ist die Stadt als
Gründungsort des
Bauhauses
und durch das
nahegelegene
KZ
Buchenwald bekannt geworden.
Weimar became well known through Germany’s most famous poets,
Goethe and
Schiller,
who lived in
Weimar and
Jena at the same
period. Besides the famous monument there are
many places that
commemorate them (the two poets) like
Goethe House and the
Garden house.
There are many other sights like churches, palaces and the
famous library (Duchess
Anna
Amalia Library). Furthermore Weimar
became known because of the
Bauhaus that was
founded here and by the
KZ Buchenwald which is
situated only 8 km from the city center. |
